KELLY MONAHAN

Certifications: RSPA Tennis & Pickleball
Education & Background: Holds a degree in Marketing and Professional Tennis Management from Ferris State University. Previously held the Head Tennis Professional role (2019-2022) and the Sales Manager role (2023-2025) at the club. She grew up in the Sheboygan area and played tennis as a teen at Sports Core. She had a very successful high school and college career. Was a former Racquet Sports Director for a country club in Michigan and has extensive experience running tennis, pickleball and platform tennis programs.
Specialties: Getting players of all ages and abilities to love these great lifelong sports. 10 & Under tennis, adult tennis, Junior Development, Pickleball 101, Platform Tennis 101
Interests: Spending time with her family and friends. Enjoys being outside regardless of the season in Wisconsin. She is always up to trying something new and getting out of her comfort zone.
Teaching Philosophy: Anyone can learn these great racquet sports. You are never too old or too young to try something new. It is important to have a good mix of working hard on court and enjoying your time.

COSTIN FINK
RACQUET SPORTS LEAD
Certifications: RSPA Elite Professional Tennis. RSPA Professional Pickleball & Platform Tennis. PTR Certified.
Education & Background: Attended Ferris State University where he studied Professional Tennis Management. Currently serves as the Wisconsin State President on the RSPA Midwest Board. Costin is a National Cardio Tennis trainer and coach developer for the USTA. Received the award of Wisconsin Coach of the Year in 2023 and RSPA Midwest Division Elevate Award and Dan Oliver Presidents Award in 2024 & 2025. Has worked at top country clubs and commercial clubs such as Georgetown Prep Tennis Club, Sand Valley Golf Resort and Wisconsin Athletic Club.
Specialties: Open to working with all levels and ages. Lead stringer and has strung for numerous ITA National Championships, and ATP/WTA/ITF professional tournaments.
Interests: Running marathons around the country. He likes to attempt to play golf whenever possible.

Education & Background: Graduate of Professional Tennis Management from Tyler Junior College in Texas. He previously worked at North Shore County Club and Mequon Elite. Proud Head Coach of the Cedarburg Girls’ Varsity tennis team, where he led the girls to their first team state tournament berth in school history in 2022.
Specialties: Developing confidence and skills for youth, junior and adult levels
Interests: Weeklong cruise vacations to warm destinations, watching/attending professional sports and snowboarding in Colorado.
Teaching Philosophy: While I set you up to succeed, I never forget to emphasize fun.

ELLIOT SIMENZ

Education & Background: Grew up in Sheboygan Falls and had a successful high school singles career. Started playing tennis at a young age and participated in programs at Sports Core and other venues in the county. Previously worked at Manitowoc YMCA Tennis Center along with coaching high school tennis for several years and led the team to many successful seasons.
Specialties: 10 & Under Tennis, Junior Development & High School level
Interests: Tennis remains Elliot’s passion to this day. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Teaching Philosophy: He enjoys working with all levels of players with a special fondness for instilling a technical foundation in beginner youth that will carry them through competitive careers or recreational enjoyment

MCKENNAH EDWARDS

Education & Background: Attended Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota and played college tennis. She has an extensive playing background and was ranked #1 in Wisconsin across five different age brackets and won the State Open and Closed tournaments multiple times. Attended Fond du Lac High School and set school records in both singles and doubles.
Specialties: Youth and junior tennis. All levels of pickleball. Community programming and tournaments.
Interests: Baking delicious treats for family and friends. Going on fun adventures with her family and friends.
Teaching Philosophy: Make tennis enjoyable for everyone—no matter what their skill level!

JIM LANKEY

Education & Background: Worked as a corporate engineer for majority of his career while teaching tennis part-time. Has played tennis for over 40 years and has a successful playing background. Coached girls high school tennis in Iowa and had the team advance to state several years in a row.
Specialties: Coaches Red ball, Orange ball, High School and all levels of Adults. Experienced stringer and helping players find the best racquet for their style of play.
Interests: Enjoys spending time with his family and playing retro arcade games
Teaching Philosophy: Tennis is the best lifetime sport. He enjoys helping people get better so they can enjoy tennis at a competitive or casual level.

ALEX UNGER
PICKLEBALL PROFESSIONAL

Education & Background: Strong player in both tennis and pickleball. Grew up in Kohler.

ALEXANDRA SHIRCEL
TENNIS PROFESSIONAL
Education & Background: Attended UW-Whitewater and set the record for most career wins. She won conference and qualified for the Division III NCAA Tournament all 4 years. She also qualified for Nationals in both singles and doubles to become a three-time All-American, with career high rankings of #13 in singles and #11 in doubles.
Started playing tennis at Sports Core at 3 years old alongside her two older brothers and dad. Currently teaches full time in the local area.
Specialties: Teaching consistency from the baseline, singles and doubles strategy, footwork, and volleys.
Interests: Spending time with her husband and family, playing tennis, exercising, being outdoors, and traveling.
Teaching Philosophy: Tennis has given her so many incredible experiences and friendships, and she hopes to pass on her love for the game to every player she has the privilege of coaching.

JOHN FRAUSTO
TENNIS & PICKLEBALL PROFESSIONAL
Certifications: RSPA Elite Professional with certifications in tennis, pickleball, padel and platform.
Education & Background: John received his Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. He was also a member of it’s Men’s Tennis Team. John is the former partner and Director of Tennis at Center Court Tennis Club in Fond du Lac, WI. He was recognized by his peers by being awarded the 2006 RSPA Wisconsin Pro of the Year, 2013 RSPA Small Facility Manager of the Year and in 2025 was inducted into the RSPA Midwest Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.
Specialties: John enjoys working with all age groups. He enjoys teaching group pickleball classes and cardio tennis classes. He has been fortunate to work with multiple high-level juniors, several who have achieved state championships and have continued their tennis careers and the Division 1, 2 and 3 levels.
Interests: John is the VP of Wealth Management at KCU Investment and Retirement Services serving the Kohler Credit Unions. He continues to play pickleball and tennis at the Sports Core. He also enjoys reading and creating online tennis instruction content in his free time.
Teaching Philosophy: I take a holistic approach with my students; it’s my goal to teach the all court game to all players. My students will feel comfortable at the baseline and transitioning to the net. I encourage my students to play singles and doubles; by playing both, they round out their games and have more options on the court. The mental and emotional sides of the game are also important to me; my students are well rounded and ready for any situation on the court.
