I help people decrease their chances of getting high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, obesity and low back pain. Because of my degenerative disc disease, I have great knowledge and awareness in keeping the low back safe during every movement performed in classes or while personal training.

A functional approach to training is to not focus on training individual muscles, but the entire body by enhancing natural movement patterns. LYNN PAULOW

Certifications: American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer, IMX Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructor, TRX Trainer, Kinesis Trainer, Advanced Cancer Exercise Specialist

Education: University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point

Specialties: Strength Training, Behavior and Lifestyle Change, Exercise Rehabilitation

Hobbies/Interests: Passionate about teaching fitness classes that include TRX, strength, cycling and Pilates. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and making new playlists for my group ex classes. I like to bake, but I'd much rather watch my husband do the cooking.

Philosophy: For 35+ years I have shown how exercise is a joy, a gift, an opportunity. I want others to get to the point where they do it for the love of it, for empowerment, for destressing, for the health of it....not to lose ten pounds in 7 days. Exercise is as much physical as it is emotional. I strive to take the intimidation factor out of fitness by providing a personalized touch. Sometimes all you need is a little support and friendship to keep you motivated and accountable.

Melanie Schneider

MELANIE SCHNEIDER

Certifications: ACSM Exercise Physiologist, American Red Cross CPR, AED & First Aid, Les Mills GRIT, Coach by Color Cycling, Rock Steady Boxing Coach

Education: BS with a major in Kinesiology; University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh

Specialties: Behavior/Lifestyle Change, Functional Strength and Athletic Training, Special Populations

Philosophy: As a trainer, I believe in the importance of incorporating both cardiovascular and strength training into a daily workout, while designing it toward the needs and goals of the member. I’m able to do this by constructing a workout plan for full-body strength training, while adding in a few cardiovascular exercises throughout the workout, to spike the heart rate. As a former collegiate athlete, I also believe in the importance of youth strength training and injury prevention. Through plyometric and agility training, I focus on developing athletes through sports-specific movements to strengthen and condition the body.
